Where the Wild Things Are

This is a slight revision of an older hyper-post processed image I had made for pictured daughter during the rising tide of her Where The Wild Things Are obsession. The original had the movie adapted “Carol” character grafted into the woods, but he had to disappear due to copyright reasons. I wanted to work out something grainer and “wilder,” something closer to the book illustrations, but couldn’t settle on anything that really worked without a radical transformation that was more detracting than anything. In the end I went for a strong contrast of autumn color with hard lighting effects, and then fuzzed it all out with some grain, a nice effect feature on ALR 3.
