Horses in Past Tense

 

Collapsing horse stable stashed (seemingly random) in the back corner of a fishing park. In re: last post, I wanted to build a mock “dust bowl era” processing technique. I had bounced the idea off a friend and he made an obvious shot over the bow with the suggestion: “So why not get a low-quality vintage film camera and do it in one snap?” Touché, my friend. So I said, fine, let’s do the 1920s in HDR 🙂

These places are always moving. On one hand they are forgotten, but on the other, they are quietly giving everything to endure. No less than two miles away is a nest of Walgreens, Wal-Marts, Targets, Lowes, Macaroni Grills and everything else included in the “pop-up” town. This park never has more than 10 people at a time on its best days.
