Ghost town

Here is a wider photograph of Texas Avenue (to the left is the bank from previous post). This one was taken about forty-five minutes after sunrise. The early time doesn’t excuse the empty streets as I don’t think I’ve seen another person on the streets at any of the times I’ve visited. The building on the right is dated 1857. Through the mail slot, it appears to be full of vintage motorcycles, parts and a few old cars.  Have a good weekend!

  1. I worked there in 1978-80, It was filled with life and the hustle and bustle of work and shopping. Boutiques lined the street and food! I always stopped at this place that had the best chicken dumplings. We had to park away from the building and walk to work. Many good memories of that place.
