This was an interesting place. It wasn’t a junkyard, but a used car lot, and one that apparently had been abandoned abruptly. The cars ranged from 50s to late 70s from what I could tell. I’m far from a vintage car historian, though. Despite the variety in type, they all looked the same—sun bleached and rusted. Curious was why the cars weren’t at least shipped off to auction if they were going out of business.
The lot was surrounded with a tall chain-linked fence. It wasn’t a major deterrent, the major one was the throaty dog growling and barking from somewhere on the lot. He was chained up as I could hear the sound of a big chain clanking on concrete, but I wasn’t going to press my luck. So to make due, I just put my camera on a pod and took some blind shots over the fence.

Oh, what I really like about this photo is the Queen Anne’sLace in the rearview mirror! I dub this looking back at beauty. This is awesome.
