With missing a few days, I felt the need to double-post. This is Huey P. Long square, from the ~ 30th floor from the capitol. The statue featured in the middle is of Huey, and don’t quote me, but I believe he is buried there or somewhere near there. The statue has him holding a model of the capitol and looking up at the building. I wanted to do this one in color, but barren ground and wilted trees from a rough summer weren’t in the mood for a color shot. This B&W was done in Lightroom but with the purple color pumped up a bit in the split-tone panel after the B&W conversion.
