What happened to the lamp post?

Was out for a walk today, and apparently, found Narnia. I’ve wanted to go there since reading the books as a child. Better late than never. For processing, I decided to ramp up the light-heartedness by dropping the contrast and adding glow at the end of the trail to give it a touch of the surreal. Narnia, however, is not how I imagined. This path ends at the foot of some train tracks, an area that the Narnians apparently gather to dump trash and smash an exorbitant amount of beer bottles.

  1. I love the inviting golden colour at the end of the path. Pity about what really lay at the end of it. We call it ‘the gap’ at home – the one that lies between expectations and reality πŸ™‚

  2. Nice post processing (especially the glow at the end of the trail). Remember, two ways they got into Narnia were…via a train (in one way or another)….how I loved reading that series as a child, thanx for the smiles and memories!

  3. Looks like part way it turns into the yellow brick road – as they say, all roads lead to home ( or no place like home).
