Checking In

Ring, ring to enter the Arlington Hotel. Continuing the urban theme for this week, Arlington Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in our downtown area and is nearing a state of total disrepair. It’s one of many historical buildings whose owners have left the area and no longer maintain nor turn over to the state. Below is an angled clip from part of the outside. I’ve shot the entire hotel from the outside before, but wasn’t satisfied with the lighting conditions, the same with this trip. The sun sets behind the hotel; however, this isn’t an advised spot to hang out in the late golden hour of the evening. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some time to process one that peaks inside a bit more.
